VGA Termination Kit Instructions

1. On the back of the connector, solder jumper wires from pin 6 to pin 7, from

pin 7 to pin 8, from pin 8 to pin 10, and from pin 10 to the shell (see the pinout

table on the back of this card).

2. Strip away approximately 1" of the outer jacket of the 5-wire coaxial cable.

3. Trim the outer foil shield back to a length of approximately 0.25".

4. For each coax cable:

a. Carefully strip away approximately 0.5" of

the jacket from the end of the coaxial cable

to expose the spiral shield.

b. Twist the spiral shield together and bend

the twist aside.

c. Carefully strip away approximately 0.25" of

the insulation to expose the center conductor.

d. Solder the center conductor of the cable to the pin’s

solder cup shown in the table below.

wist all of the conductors’ spiral shields (from 4b) together

and solder them to pin 10 or to the connector shell

6. Fasten the two halves of the backshell together around

the front plate of the connector using the provided

screws and nuts.

Twist all 5 shields

together and solder.
