Measuring the voltage for a TOA A-903 ampliﬁer

Control terminals for several TOA ampliﬁers are two screw

terminals labeled "REMT VOL". They do not indicate which

terminal is for control voltage and which is the ground. Use a

voltmeter set for VDC to measure the voltage.

In ﬁgure 2-7, the measured voltage is positive, indicating that

the upper terminal is the signal voltage terminal and the lower

terminal is the ground. Write down the measured voltage and

which terminal is ground as this will be important when you set

the DIP switches.

When measuring voltage, if the reading is positive, the

positive probe indicates the signal voltage terminal and

the ground probe indicates the ground terminal. If the

reading is negative, reverse the probes.

The TOA 900 series needs different wiring to connect it

to the MLA-VC10 (see pages 2-14 and 2-15).
